![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Group Information Welcome to Radyr Scout Group. This is the umbrella name given to all the different parts of scouting in Radyr. Each age group is called a section and is open to girls and boys of the appropriate age. Radyr Scout Group consists of 3 sections.
We currently have 2 Beaver Colony’s, 2 Cub Pack’s, and 1 Scout Troup with a view to starting a further Troup in the New Year (2011). There is an admissions policy (currently being reviewed) and a waiting list. This is because of the high demand for scouting in the area. Unfortunately this means not every child who wants to be involved can be. This situation arises nationally in part due to a lack of adult volunteers but also time and space in halls. In an attempt to tackle our large waiting list Radyr Scout Group opened new Beavers, Cubs and Scouts (Jan 2011) sections but demand still outnumbers places. Additional Information Terms and Costs (Costs accurate as of Sept 2011 and are likely change) Subs per term for Cubs £30 Dropping Off and Picking Up Please ensure your Beaver, Cub or Scout is there promptly as late entry is disruptive to the timetable. The first few minutes are spent explaining what will happen that evening and it is very time consuming to have to go over that 2 or 3 times, especially with the limited time we have. Please do not leave your child until 2 leaders are present. This applies to indoor and outdoor activities. In general you child will not be allowed to leave the hall until they see their ‘lift’. This is age appropriate, with the younger age groups this usually means the ‘lift’ will have to come into the hall.Uniform Can be purchased from: The Hub 10% of the cost will come back to Radyr Scout Group. Opening times are limited as this option is run by volunteers. Address and contact information below. in the organisation, usually by the time they come to be invested. This means
saying their sections promise and becoming full members of the World Wide
Scouting Movement and Radyr Scout Group. If they progress through the sections they can
wear their previous uniform (i.e. Beavers to cubs, cubs to scouts) until they
are invested. |
