The Leaders of Thursday Pack are delighted to present two more Chief Scout Silver Award badges to two of our older Cubs. Both boys have been brilliant Cubs during their time in the Pack and have worked very hard to get their Silver Award, the highest award available in Cubs. We wish you lots of luck for when you move up to Scouts.

If you didn't manage to secure tickets for the 2012 Olympics then fear not! 1st Radyr Cubs (Thursday) will be putting on two mini-Olympic nights for the pack. The evenings are on Thursday 30th June and Thursday 7th July. All Cubs are asked to wear something sporty and are to bring a warm, waterproof coat in case of rain.

Last week both Tuesday and Thursday Cubs Packs did their bit for Christian Aid week by delivering envelopes to houses in Radyr and Morganstown. Many thanks to the parent helpers who came with us.

We would like to say a big thank you to Barry the Potter (no not 'Barry Potter') who came along and did a night of pottery with the Cubs.
Each Cub made a beautiful pot on his pottery wheel and then a family of little animals. The wares are currently drying in the Scout Hall and will be brought home soon. Here is one of the pictures that Mang's night-vision, wildlife camera took of Fantastic Mr Miskin Fox. The Cubs left some tasty bacon out as bait and then the camera did the rest as we all slept soundly.
